TUCSON-Hurricane Miriam is making its way up off the Mexican Coast just as a strong earthquake hits the Baja California area earlier today.
It was a 6.2 quake about 45 miles from La Paz in the Gulf of California. We have no official reports of damage or injuries at this point. The quake hit about 4:45 today and two aftershocks have been reported, both higher than 4.5.
We'll be keeping an eye on Miriam...it may bring us some moisture by Friday. I'll have an update on the computer models and my forecast at 10pm
