TUCSON - The goal of this year's Humane Society of Southern Arizona's "Home for the Holidays" is to find more homes for shelter animals and to have one cat and dog sponsored daily.

Home for the Holidays is a program where people can donate to help find permanent homes for homeless pets, and it runs up until January 2, 2013, according to a news release from the Humane Society.

Donations allow an individual, family, business, or school sponsor a shelter pet, which reduces the pet's adoption fee to $50.

A sponsor would need to donate $100 or $75 for two or more pets. By becoming a "Home for the Holidays" sponsor, you'll help more pets find permanent homes, Humane Society officials stated.
