TUCSON - Today on "How Can I Help?" on News 4 at 4 - Hailey Thoman from Habitat for Humanity stopped by to talk about what the organization does.

Habitat for Humanity Tucson works to end poverty housing by creating opportunities for homeownership in partnership with low-income families and by making safe, decent, and affordable shelter a matter of community conscience and action.

Volunteer opportunities to highlight and/or upcoming volunteer events include summer construction and HabiStore volunteers. In August, there are Volunteer Orientations, which people can sign up for online (this is the first step in volunteering with us). Everyone can get involved right away by voting for us on The Home Depot Foundation's website to help us win $25,000.
