House fire breaks out on Tucson's west side

TUCSON - A house fire has damaged a west side home.

The fire broke out at a home in the 1000 block of W. Alameda. Tucson Fire were dispatched to the location at around 2 p.m. and arrived shortly after, according to TFD Captain Jeff Langejans.

Fire spread to an area around the home's gas meter, which complicated firefighting efforts, Captain Langejans said. Also, power lines around the house were brought down.
