Homicide victim found in Santa Cruz River identified

TUCSON - Tucson Police have now released the name of the homicide victim found in the Santa Cruz River on Friday.

He has been identified as 34-year old Owen McNutt. His body was found in the river near North Riverside Drive and West Saint Mary's Road. An autopsy showed that Mr. McNutt had signs of trauma that were indicative of a homicide. Detectives also discovered that he had previous gang affiliations.

The investigation is ongoing and detectives are asking anyone
with information to contact 911 or 88-CRIME.
