TUCSON - It's a popular place for mountain bikers, but caters to the hiking crowd too.
The Starr Pass Trailhead sits in the Tucson Mountains, a rock throw from Starr Pass Resort and downtown Tucson.
Easy to get to, and easy to get to other trails within the Tucson Mountains. The Starr Pass Trailhead links up with the David Yetman and Rock Wren Trails to name a few.
While the trail winds around several cacti, you'll never feel winded. The Starr Pass Trail is very manageable, easy for the kids and a good workout for those looking for a quick hike. The one thing to be aware of: loose rocks that dot the trail.
Regardless, you'll have plenty of opportunity to take in sweeping vistas and our famous desert flora, without having to switchback or boulder climb.
