TUCSON - It's little known, little used, but absolutely amazing.
Welcome to the Babad Do'ag Trail; a five mile round trip hike where the desert meets the grasslands.
It's definitely a moderate hike. At the start, watch your footing. You'll be climing up rocks that can easily be slick.
Some of that slick rock disappears as you go along & the trail becomes quite flat. While this trail is underrated, its views of the Tucson valley are anything but.
One hiker said, "'This is the view that bankrupts the english language. It's a kaleidescope of colors and textures and shadow and light".
"When you look at the horizon, it's definitely the wild west", said another hiker.
To get to this trail, head up Catalina Highway and park at the Babad Do'ag Vista, then make a short walk up the road to the trailhead sign.
Nature's beauty awaits you.
