TUCSON - Hit or miss storms swing and miss for Tucson today.
It was a bit of a down day for Monsoon 2013 after starting August with an active storm pattern. The storms that did develop this afternoon favored central Pima County, however, we lacked the deep moisture to get those widespread storms to fire up.
High pressure is still in a decent position to bring us enough moisture to support a daily round of afternoon showers and storms through the start of the new week. Coverage will remain on the isolated side with some seeing rain and most staying dry. The storms that do develop will bring the threat of heavy downpours and strong gusty winds.
