(NBC) - A pair of high school sweethearts separated for decades have tied the knot on the spot where they rekindled their romance: Ikea.
Willie Pittman and Julie Rodgers attended the same high school in Washington, DC.
They lost touch after graduation and didn't see each other for 30 years, until they bumped into each other two years ago in the Ikea in College Park, Maryland.
Love was in the air.
"We ended up having dinner here and at the end of it, I said, "This is one of the best dates I've ever had'," Rodgers recalls.
It was on "Meatball Tuesday".
They gazed at each other over meatballs, mashed potatoes and ligonberry sauce.
Ikea calls itself "the life improvement store."
The wedding guests hopes it improves the lives of these newlyweds.
Willie and Julie plan to travel to New York City on their honeymoon, and say they'll stop by the Brooklyn Ikea while they're there.
