HEREFORD - A black bear that spent the day perched high up in a tree in Hereford.

The bear was first spotted in the area about 7 a.m. and climbed into the tree about 10 a.m.

The Arizona Game and Fish Department normally would tranquilize the animal, biut this time the bear was simply too high.

The bear finally came down a little after 9 p.m. and ran off toward the Huachucas.
