TUCSON - Monsoon moisture remains in Mexico while Southern Arizona continues with above average temperatures.
High pressure off the coast of Baja California will supply daytime highs in the 102-105 degree range for the start of the new week. These slightly above normal temperatures will be accompanied with sunny to mostly sunny skies in the coming days.
The higher elevations of Mexico continue to see a daily round of thunderstorm activity as ample moisture remains south of the border. The ridge of high pressure that draws moisture into Southern Arizona is still in an unfavorable position to do just that.
Late this week an upper level low will move in from the Pacific Northwest which will likely further delay the onset of the monsoon. Any rain with this system will remain to our northeast while we get breezy and slightly cooler conditions by Thursday and Friday.
