Harelson Elementary was first stop for this year's Weather IQ!

TUCSON - News 4 Tucson Chief Meteorologist Rob Guarino is at it again! Weather IQ is back, and Rob is traveling to schools in Southern Arizona all year to host his fun, exciting and educational Weather IQ Challenge!

Rob says it was a very spirited group today at Harelson Elementary in Tucson as the boys vs. girls competed at the first Weather IQ of the school year. The girls lead the way to the very end but the boys pulled it out on the last question to win 205-95. The 205 points will represent Harelson Elementary in Tucson.

Students will be competing all year to score the most points in the Weather IQ challenge, with the winning school earning a special year-end prize!

Rob Guarino's Weather IQ is completely free for teachers and schools, and provides students the opportunity to win some great prizes while they learn. The format of the event is best suited for grades 3 to 5. This is a fun, high-energy event for students, and News 4 Tucson is excited to bring this learning opportunity to Southern Arizona!
