TUCSON - The "Sonoran Wind Machine" cranks up this afternoon.
Expect westerly winds up to 25 MPH today, according to News 4 Meteorologist Jeff Beamish. Mostly sunny skies are on tap for your Thursday, as high temps reach the upper 70's in Metro Tucson.
Winds crank up again tomorrow ahead of a Pacific cold front. Blowing dust will be possible along I-10 north of Marana/east of Texas Canyon Friday afternoon and evening.
Widespread showers/mt. snow arrives late Saturday afternoon for a good chunk of southern Arizona, tapering off late Sunday morning. Valley rain totals will be in the 0.25-0.75" range with 5-10" snow possible above 7,000 ft.
