TUCSON - The Sonoran Wind Machine returns.
A tightening pressure gradient between low pressure to the east and high pressure to the north cranks up the winds today, according to News 4 Meteorologist Jeff Beamish. Expect gusty east winds up to 20 MPH through early afternoon before subsiding. High temps today in Tucson top out in the low 90's.
The weekend features less wind and plenty of sunshine, as high pressure sets up shop over southern California. Daytime highs Saturday through the middle of next week peak in the low to mid 90's under mostly sunny skies. This pattern looks to hold serve for a while due to a low pressure trough stalling out over the Great Lakes next week.
