TUCSON - Red Flag Warnings for high fire danger have been issued for most of Southern Arizona as the region is dealing with strong winds and very dry air.
A Wind Advisory is also active until 7 p.m. for Eastern Cochise County where winds could gust to 50 mph. Blowing dust today is a concern, especially along I-10.
Meanwhile, temperatures have cooled into the 80s for most areas and will continue to fall as we head into Wednesday and Thursday. Highs will only top off into the 70s, which is 10-12 degrees below average for early May.
Winds die down on Wednesday behind the front and skies turn mostly sunny. Warmer weather will build into the region by the weekend as we return to the low 90s for daytime highs.
