TUCSON - Morning winds and suspended dust aren't going away anytime soon.
A low pressure trough in southeastern California cranks up the winds today, according to News 4 Meteorologist Jeff Beamish. Expect west-southwest winds up to 20 MPH this afternoon, likely creating isolated areas of blowing dust on I-10 north of Marana. Winds will ease up after sunset this evening.
High temps this afternoon reach the low 80's in Tucson under mostly sunny skies.
Confidence is increasing for another round of gusty winds by Sunday, courtesy of a backdoor cold front. Southern Arizona could see gusts to 25 MPH for the second half of the weekend.
