(KPNX) A Gilbert, Arizona woman is busy working on a unique program to help women in need.
She owns and operates "The Bra Recyclers" which takes the slightly used undergarments and donates them to women shelters and transitional programs.
Elaine Birks-Mitchell says she got started in the phoenix area after seeing a local need.
It didn't take long before her blooming business took off and she now furnishes bras to needed women around the world.
Birks-Mitchell says most of her stock is either brand new or come from women how purchased a bra only to realize they didn't like the fit or look.
The program has become so popular that ambassador programs have started up internationally including, Belgium, Malaysia and South Africa.
