TUCSON - The Gabrielle Giffords Family Assistance Center will be dedicated this Friday at the Community Food Bank of Southern Arizona.
The funding for the center came after the January 8th shooting in Tucson.
Giffords' husband, Mark Kelly, suggested that people who wanted to honor Gabby could make a donation to the Community Food Bank, one of her favorite charities. The Red Cross was also a place for people to donate.
As a result, more than $193,000 in gifts to the Food Bank have come from 48 states and several foreign countries. That money helped build the Gabrielle Giffords Family Assistance Center.
The dedication ceremony will be at 3 p.m. at the Community Food Bank of Southern Arizona, 3003 S. Country Club Road.
Ron Barber, District Director at Giffords' office will be representing Congresswoman Giffords.
