TUCSON - If you don't get rain this afternoon, you may be waiting a while.
Ample moisture exists today, but morning cloud cover likely leads to a less active day compared to the last 48 hours. News 4 Meteorologist Jeff Beamish says scattered storms are possible, especially if sunshine breaks out.
Storms today will be slow-movers, capable of locally heavy rainfall.
High pressure moves over the state mid to late week, shunting the best chance of storm into the mountains. After isolated valley storms tomorrow, lower elevations look dry to wrap the work week. A few isolated storms may fire up again this weekend.
As we dry out some, we heat up. Expect a stretch of triple digit temperatures Wednesday into early next week.
