KVOA.com wants to encourage as many people to share their ideas and discuss issues with the community as a whole. We want to help foster the discussion of current events, sports, politics and weather in the community. In doing so we want to provide a rich and vibrant commenting widget to make that possible.

Who can comment?

Anyone, but they must register first. When you register KVOA.com will remember your account for that computer you registered on, and every computer you log in to in the future.

What is comment karma?

Comment karma is the communities way of providing feedback on specific comments. If a comment is ranked up by enough users it will be displayed in a more prominent manner. Likewise, if a comment is ranked down enough times it will fade and eventually almost disappear. Only registered users are allowed to modify the karma of comments, and each user can only rate each comment once.

Anyone can report a comment as inappropriate by clicking on the ! icon in the top right of the comment text.

Commenting Avatars

KVOA.com currently supports Gravatar avatars which are associate based on your e-mail address provided. If you provide your Gravatar e-mail address in the comment, it will associate your G-rated gravatar with your comment. Coming soon users will be able to upload their own avatars, that feature is in development.

Comment moderation

Comments are rarely, rarely removed, even negative comments about our station and reporters will be left on the site. Don't worry, we can take it. If the comment contains profanity or is abusive to other readers than it may be subject for removal.
