WASHINGTON, DC - An auto industry trade group is offering free car window decals to help remind people not leave children alone in cars.
It's part of an on-going effort to help remind parents to think twice before walking away from their cars.
The Washington D.C.-based Alliance of Automobile Manufacturers is distributing this decal through public health agencies, schools and daycare centers in the area.
They recommend placing the decal on a rear window on the driver's side of a car.
The decal reads "Never leave a child alone in a car. If you see a child unattended in a car don't hesitate to call 911."
The decals are available free of charge at: www.itsthatserious.org
