Free cats for adoption at Pima Animal Care Center

TUCSON - Space is limited at Pima Animal Care Center as they are facing constant space shortages. To ease the crowding, cats are free for the rest of the month.

The PACC cat room of 55 cages is full despite the addition of 12 new cages to accommodate demand. The adoption room is so full that the Pima Animal Care Center is housing cats in their stray cat intake room.

People who are interested in adopting a cats can choose from a large selection in the care center. The center is looking to get these cats adopted and into a new home as soon as possible and are waiving adoption fees through the entire month of February.

The adoption center will be open on this upcoming Monday, Presidents' Day from noon to 3 p.m.
