Four arrests made in Oro Valley home invasion

ORO VALLEY - Oro Valley Police arrest four people connected to a home invasion Wednesday evening.

Police responded to the area of 11000 block of North Meadow Sage Wednesday about 7:50 p.m. to reports of a home invasion.

An elderly female reported she was in the home when a 9 to 10-year-old white male knocked on her door and asked to use her phone. When she opened the door, she told police a total of three suspects entered her home and two of the suspects were armed. The homeowner was tied up and the suspects stole items from the residence and took off in unknown direction.

During the investigation the victim provided critical information that led to the identity of the suspects.

Today, police conducted a traffic stop on the suspect vehicle and took four suspects, three adults and one minor, into custody. The driver was identified as 40-year-old Wellington Curichimba Marin. Police believe he was the driver during the original incident. In the vehicle with Marin was 37-year-old Jacqueline Michelle Carlson, 18-year-old Anthony Kane White-Giordano, and a 13-year-old male, who is not believed to be related to any of the other suspects.

Police believe Marin knew the victim and planned the robbery. They say he drove the suspects to the area of the residence and lured the victim to answer the door by having the minor knock on the door. All four suspects entered the residence where the victim was tied up, choked and held at gun point. After the suspects took jewelry and money they left the scene.

Marin, Carlson and White-Giordano were booked into the Pima County Jail for armed robbery, aggravated assault, kidnapping, and trafficking in stolen property.

The 13-year-old male was charged with armed robbery, aggravated assault, kidnapping and was booked into the Pima County Juvenile Court.
