TUCSON - A former University of Arizona student serving a life sentence for the murder of her dorm roommate, wants a chance at parole.
The state court of appeals is upholding a Pima County judge's order to resentence 23-year-old Galareka Harrison.
She was convicted in the 2007 stabbing death of 18-year-old Mia Henderson.
Last year Harrison's attorney argued her previous lawyers failed to obtain her medical records, and didn't properly investigate her background.
The resentencing hearing is postponed, but Harrison's attorney insists she shouldn't be locked-up without the possibility of parole.
