TUCSON, Ariz. (AP) - Former Tucson City Manager Mike Hein has been hired to head up Pima County's Office of Emergency Management and Homeland Security.
He will start his new job Monday.
Hein was selected after a three-member panel interviewed the six finalists for the job and made a recommendation to county Administrator Chuck Huckelberry.
Hein was Tucson's city manager from April 2005 until April 2009 when the City Council voted 4-3 to fire him.
