TUCSON - Today is the first day of the "Save Our Home AZ" event, where home and foreclosure counseling services will be available to homeowners at risk of losing their homes.

The two day event is being held from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. Wednesday and Thursday at the Hotel Tucson City Center InnSuites, located at 475 N. Granada Avenue.

Counselors will be available for hourly appointments at Save Our Home AZ, hosted by the Arizona Department of Housing. They will be help homeowners stop foreclosure proceedings, get homeowners help with mortgage payments and provide transition assistance.

Organizers state that a similar event in Phoenix was successful in getting many homeowners on the road to saving their home.
