TUCSON - When it comes to country music the hottest duo on radio made a tour stop in Tucson Sunday tonight.
Florida Georgia Line played to a sold out crowd at Casino del Sol's Ava Amphitheater.
News 4 Tucson's Rebecca Taylor met up with the band backstage.
"We literally have to pinch ourselves at times and wonder what's going on," says Tyler Hubbard, "It's definitely a God thing, we're definitely blessed, loving what we're doing and just working hard."
Hubbard and Brian Kelley met in college.
"How wild is it to have fans know the words to your songs," asks Taylor.
Kelley says, "I mean it's a dream come true. It's crazy to think we began writing songs in the back of his tailgate years ago and to see where it's at now, it's unbelievable."
Whether your radio dial is set to country or pop chances are you've heard their song Cruise.
It's spent 20 weeks at number one, no one's done that in 50 years.
Rapper Nelly lent his skills on a remix of the song, selling a combined five million downloads.
"We're just out here working hard, and everyday we're hearing all these stats and numbers and we're just blown away," says Hubbard.
Their follow up song, Get Your Shine On also hit number one. And their latest single Round Here is well on its way.
The duo credits fans, and tour-mates Taylor Swift and Luke Brian for propelling their music.
"It's just an honor to be learning from the best, so it's crazy right now," says Kelley.
