TUCSON - Winter weather bragging rights return to the Sonoran Desert.
High pressure over the West Coast cranks daytime highs up 10-12 above average, according to News 4 Meteorologist Jeff Beamish. This afternoon through Thursday, highs should approach the upper 70's to low 80's with lots of sunshine. Wednesday's forecast high of 80 would tie the record high set back in 1986.
Temperatures slide a bit for the remainder of the week, with low to mid 70's by the weekend. Winter weather looks to return by next week, as models hint at a cold front moving in from Alaska. Valley rain & mountain snow could be possible as early as next Monday.
