Firing city manager cost Scottsdale $120,000

SCOTTSDALE, Ariz. (AP) - Firing Scottsdale's city manager came with a price.


The city paid John Little more than $120,000 in severance including wages, vacation time and other benefits.


Little got $95,004 for six months of wages, $10,962 for accrued vacation, six months' deferred compensation of $11,400.48, six months' auto allowance of $3,600 and $2,411.64 for six months of medical, dental and life insurance coverage for a total package of $123,378.12


When Jan Dolan left as city manager in early 2008, it cost the city $160,000.
