Firefighters put out mobile home fire

TUCSON - Firefighters from the Rural Metro Fire Department (RMFD) responded to a report of a residential structure fire in the 5400 block of South Masterson.

When crews arrived they found a single-wide mobile home engulfed in flames. The occupant of the home evacuated without any injuries.

With other homes in the area, RMFD worked diligently to contain the fire.

Grant Cesarek, spokesman for Rural Metro, said there were no injuries to report and the investigation team is on the scene to determine the cause of the fire and to estimate the damage.

Any house fire can be prevented by ensuring all heat sources are monitored and controlled, properly use any open flame, and never overload electrical circuits.

To ensure the safety of your family, install smoke detectors in the sleeping areas of your home and practice evacuation plans.
