PHOENIX (AP) - More than 40 residents have been evacuated from a Phoenix retirement home after authorities say a fire broke out in the dining room.
Phoenix police say crews arrived at the Burkeshire retirement home late Saturday and found smoke throughout the first floor. That's when the blaze was located in the wall of the dining room.
Authorities say residents were evaluated but none were transported to a hospital.
The Phoenix Fire Department used city buses to relocate residents.
The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
