TUCSON - A fire destroyed a mobile home Friday night.
Tucson Fire tells News 4 crews found the home filled with smoke and flames by the time they arrived in the 1600 Block of West Ajo Way.
The strength of the fire forced crews to take a defensive approach to fighting and to work to protect nearby mobile homes.
Fire crews prevented the fire from causing any damage to other homes.
The property manager of the mobile home park said the destroyed home had been unoccupied for approximately two years.
There were no injuries to firefighters and Red Cross was not needed.
Five people, including two children, whose mobile home was next door to the fire, were temporarily evacuated during the course of the fire fighting operations.
They were allowed back in after the fire was under control.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
