TUCSON - Tucson Fire crews responded to a mobile home fire in the 1300 block of N. Romero after the department received multiple 911 calls and issued a full alarm response.
The crews arrived on scene and found the mobile home was over 50 percent involved, and multiple other homes were being threatened by flames, according to a news release from TFD.
It took nine units and 23 firefighters 12 minutes to bring the fire under control. Two residents, who were not in the home where the fire started, were displaced and will be receiving assistance from the Red Cross.
The residents of the home on fire were not home at the time. There were no injuries to firefighters, the release states.
The origin and cause of the fire are still under investigation, and an estimate on damages is still being determined. The involved home sustained heavy fire damage and will be considered a total loss.
