PHOENIX - Kristi's Kids has learned, the final votes will happen tomorrow morning (Thursday) on the emergency CPS funding bill.
If passed, the bill will go to Governor Jan Brewer's desk for immediate signing.
The emergency bill calls for 192 new, full-time CPS workers in Arizona for about $6.8 million dollars. This is above and beyond what the Governor is requesting, for new hires and other CPS changes, in her current budget proposal.
Kristi's Kids has been investigating the Governor's overall plan, to abolish CPS as we know it. Lawmakers and child advocates are expressing serious concerns, which we'll share with you tonight on News 4 Tucson at 10:00.
