CASA GRANDE, AZ - U.S. Border Patrol agents assigned to the Casa Grande Station were dispatched Monday to assist the Eloy Police Department with determining the identity and immigration status of a male subject. During questioning, the man admitted of being an illegal immigrant from Mexico.
Agents took custody of the man and transported him to the Casa Grande Border Patrol Station for processing. When they entered him into the Integrated Automated Fingerprint Identification System, the data base revealed he had an active felony arrest warrant for contempt of court.
The data base also revealed that he had been arrested previously for two counts of illegal conduct enterprise, five counts of money laundering, three counts of possession of marijuana for sale, and two counts of misconduct involving weapons. He is being held on a $750,000 bond.
The subject was turned over to Pinal County Sheriff's Office which will extradite him to Maricopa County who issued the warrant.
