TUCSON - The heat returns to southeast Arizona for Father's Day.
Yesterday's monsoon rain brought a record 0.29'' and today will bring the heat with a forecast high near 105, according to Meteorologist John Patrick. A much quieter day is expected with generally sunny skies from Tucson west. There is still a slight chance to see a thunderstorm or two pop up this afternoon in portions of Graham, Greenlee and Cochise Counties.
A return to well above average temperatures this week with forecast highs hovering in the range of 105-110. Dry air will stick around through about Thursday until we start to usher in some more moisture. Thunderstorm activity could return to southern Arizona as soon as next weekend.
