PICACHO, Ariz- Electric vehicle drivers traveling between Tucson and Phoenix can now recharge their vehicle halfway.

The Picacho Shell Station will unveil their new fast-charge station Saturday afternoon.

The fast-charge station can recharge an electric vehicle in 15 to 45 minutes, compared to the approximately 8 hours it takes to fully recharge an electric vehicle at home.

Electric vehicles available in the Tucson market include the Nissan LEAF, Ford Focus, Mitsubishi MiEV and the Tesla.
