TUCSON- A mother and her two teenage children sustained minor injuries when their vehicle rolled on I-10 Saturday morning.
According to Captain Jeff Langejans with Tucson Fire, multiple 9-1-1 calls came in around 7 a.m. reporting a single vehicle accident just west of the Kino Parkway exit.
Langejans says the vehicle was traveling eastbound on I-10 when it struck the guardrail and rolled off the shoulder.
The arriving TFD units found a 13-year-old male lying on the ground outside the vehicle.
His mother and 16-year-old sister were still inside the vehicle.
Although there was significant damage to the vehicle, Langejans says the occupants escaped with minor injuries because they were wearing their seat belts.
The occupants were transported to UAMC for further evaluation.
