TUCSON - The calendar may say December but the weather still says October.
December is underway with what will be the 18th straight above average daytime high, according to Meteorologist John Patrick. With little change expected throughout the weekend daytime highs will sit in the mid to upper 70s for the Old Pueblo and low 70s for Cochise and Graham Counties. Besides a few high cirrus clouds there are little weather worries for the entire southwest.
Those hoping for a December cool down aren't going to get their wish quite yet. High pressure continues to build into the region by next week bringing near record highs. Temperatures peak on Tuesday and Wednesday with the low 80s making a rare December appearance.
