FORT HUACHUCA - Fort Huachuca will conduct another nighttime
training exercise that will be noisy!
The exercise will be conducted with low-flying aircraft from 9 p.m. to 1 a.m., Aug. 27 and 28, which is expected to create additional noise in the local area.
The training will be held in the areas of the South Range, East Range and Libby Army Airfield. Training on Aug. 27 will be concentrated in the East Range and airfield areas. Training on Aug. 28 includes an initial
crossing of the Pueblo De Sol Golf Course. Additionally, helicopters will
be flying between the airfield and East and South Ranges. Flight activities
associated with the training will end before 1 a.m.
"We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause for our neighbors," said Col. Thomas A. Boone, Fort Huachuca garrison commander.
"Our ability to conduct these training missions in support of the National
Defense Strategy keeps our Soldiers trained for operations in every corner of the globe and keeps Fort Huachuca a vital national asset supporting our mission commanders."
