TUCSON-A deep rich flow of moisture from New Mexico & Mexico will continue tonight so if you have outdoor plans or travel take along the rain gear and expect rapidly changing conditions. The good news is that the storms are moving along pretty quickly so we are not expecting any widespread flooding problems.
The monsoon flow from the South and East returns tomorrow & Sunday and by the end of the weekend the Tucson Metro area could see .50" to 1.50" of rain. It's been a very good month for rain says Chief Meteorlogist Rob Guarino. We have seen close to 4" of rain out at the airport (TIA) this month already, the most in 5 years.
If we have a pretty active weekend we could move up the charts as the wettest July since 1981 when 6.17" of rain fell in Tucson.
