KINGMAN, Ariz. (AP) - Authorities lifted an evacuation order for people who left their homes due to a wildfire in mountains outside of Kingman.
Fire officials say people are being allowed to return home because crews have made significant progress fighting the 8-square-mile Dean Peak fire in the Hualapai Mountains.
Protection lines on the fire have held despite windy conditions.
The blaze was 65 percent contained by Sunday morning.
People from the communities of Pine Lake, Pinion Pines and Getz Ranch are now allowed to return to their homes.
Officials say a lightning strike 10 miles southeast of Kingman sparked the blaze June 29.
