Emergency flooding situation declared in Nogales

NOGALES - An emergency flood situation has been declared in the city of Nogales, Arizona.

Several main streets are closed, including portions of Grand Avenue and U.S. 89. City officials are asking that residents stay in their homes to avoid congestion on streets.

Residents can access sandbags at the Safeway Parking Lot at 465 West Mariposa Road. City officials are asking residents to call 9-1-1 only in case of an emergency situation. An emergency shelter will be made available at the City of Nogales Housing Authority, located at 350 West Western Avenue.
