TUCSON - A potentially stormy finish to the work week.
Outflow winds from Sonora kicked up dust and the dew points overnight, according to News 4 Meteorologist Jeff Beamish. Enough moisture and instability is present to produce scattered storms across Pima, Pinal and Santa Cruz Counties. Storms will be capable of gusty winds and blowing dust.
Because of the dust storm potential, a Blowing Dust Advisory has been issued for the I-10 corridor between Marana and Phoenix from 2-9 PM today. Storms should ignite in the mountains by mid-day, dropping to the valley floors by late afternoon.
Another round of scattered storms is possible tomorrow as a mid-level disturbance moves in from Mexico. Storm chances taper off to the isolated variety next week as highs remain in the 100's.
