TUCSON - Tucson cyclists and drivers be aware: The 30th Annual El Tour de Tucson is taking place this Saturday, November 17.
The annual event, this year presented by The University of Arizona Medical Center, is expected to bring over 9,000 cyclists of all ages and abilities to the 111-mile route and other Fun Rides around Tucson's perimeter.
Although online registration is closed, in-person registration for the event is open through Thursday, November 15 at the El Tour Bike, Fitness and Health Expo and the Tucson Convention Center. Cyclists can pick up their race information packet at the Expo, being held today and Thursday, and there are also 100 booths offering products, equipment, displays, free samples, and more, for cyclists and non-cyclists alike.
Several Downtown streets will be partially and completely closed for the tour - click here for a map.
