TUCSON- El Rio's Birth and Women's Health Center will be commemorating 30 years on Sunday September 30th.
El Rio's Birth and Women's Health Center has delivered over 9000 babies, and they are taking the afternoon to celebrate this momentous achievement.
Guests will be greeted by senior executives, board members, and midwives at 5979 East Grant road at the El Rio Birth and Health Center from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m.
The festivities will include musical entertainment, tours, face paintings and of course, birthday cake.
El Rio's Birthing Center was started in 1982 by two midwives, Marianne Shinoskie and Kathryn Schrag and is now the only licenced free-standing birth center in Southern Arizona. It is also the only Tucson center offering water births.
