TUCSON - Because of poor weather in New Mexico, eastbound lanes of Interstate 10 are closed near Willcox, according to the Arizona Department of Transportation.
Earlier Saturday, New Mexico closed both directions of I-10 from Las Cruces, N.M., to the Arizona-New Mexico state line, a distance of about 130 miles, because of high winds and low visibility. So travelers are not stopped in their vehicles on the interstate in Arizona, ADOT has closed eastbound travel on I-10 at milepost 355 at the juncture of US 191, about 15 miles east of Willcox.
There is no estimated time to reopen the interstate and motorists are advised to delay travel.
