TUCSON - Triple digit heat again, but positive signs on the horizon for Monsoon 2014.
The Old Pueblo hits the 100's today for the 30th time this year, according to News 4 Meteorologist Jeff Beamish. Highs across southern Arizona this afternoon run 1-3° above average under sunny skies. Lows tonight drop into the 60's and 70's.
Little change is expected to the forecast the remainder of the week, with ample sunshine and triple digit heat through the weekend.
High pressure begins to make its trek toward the Four Corners next week. This is a favorable position for moisture to move in from Mexico, potentially leading to thunderstorm development. The official forecast through next Monday is dry, with some moisture leading to clouds cropping up in the higher terrain.
