GLENDALE, Ariz. (AP) - Eleven men who paid $2300 to be in this country illegally are in state custody Wednesday.

Arizona Department of Public Safety spokesman Bart Graves said members of a DPS task force served a search warrant Wednesday morning on a Glendale home near Cardinals Stadium.

Graves said two men arrested during traffic stops Tuesday led police to the Glendale drop house which apparently has been operating in the normally quiet neighborhood off 91st Avenue and Glendale for sometime.

The group of mostly Mexican nationals was believed to have been inside the residence since Monday.

Graves said the immigrants were awaiting relocation to other areas of the country when they were found.

They will eventually be turned over to federal authorities.
