TUCSON- Ready to ring in the New Year? Many local restaurants and bars are busy this weekend preparing for the New Year's Eve celebration.
At Hotel Congress, preparations are underway to turn it into Studio 54.
"Everything is going to be white and beads and crystals and fabulous," said events manager Nora Miller.
The event crew has been working on the room since Sunday morning and won't finish until just four hours before the event.
Across the street, Playground is also gearing up for their big bash.
"They're already selling tickets online. There's going to be a toast. We're opening the roof deck," said Nathan Mitchell, manager at The Hub which has the same owner as Playground.
The Hub is already busy on a Sunday and expects to be a full house come New Year's Eve.
"We're filling up fast," said Mitchell.
Staff schedules have already gone out with few getting the day off.
"We're just getting the staff ready. We're making sure that everyone can handle what's coming in," said Mitchell.
A special VIP dinner is on tap from 4 to 8 and afterwards, dinner plates will be flowing out for those spending the later hours at the Hub.
